16x20 oil on primed linen canvas Signed: Lower left MFlack Completed: May 22, 2008
Artist’s Comments:
This Southwestern still life captures the practical beauty of the Native American Indian who wrapped the pot with sinew straps for grip after he let one wet one slip thru his hands. I am a gourmet cook and love fresh vine ripened tomatoes, jalapenos, habaneros and limes to spice up a steaming dish, a salsa, or a canvas! In a harvest season we have pottery, produce and Indian heritage in colorful reflections.
